He is survived by his wife, Doris Parker; his daughter Angie (Parker) Ritter, his grandsons Jackson and Gavin Ritter, O’Fallon, MO; his brother, Robert "Bobby” Parker and his wife, Gina, Brookfield, MO. Richard was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. He served his country in combat in the U.S. Army from 1964 – 1967. He followed the career paths of his Grandfather Orie Joseph Parker, his Dad, Robert A. Parker and his Uncle, Joe Parker. His brother, Bobby also followed their footsteps and retired from the BNSF, Santa Fe Railroad. Richard’s real love was airplanes. He earned his private pilot license at the age of sixteen.
