Obituary of Brenda Lee Anderson

Brenda Lee Anderson, 68 years, of Windsor, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at University Hospital Columbia. She was born on Thursday, August 28, 1952, in Liberty, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Jean (née King) Bellis. She was a polio survivor, having contracted the disease when she was 5 years old. She married Jesse Anderson on May 13, 2000, in Wood Heights, Missouri. Survivors Include: • Jesse Anderson, husband, of Windsor, Missouri • Jennie Lee (Kyle) Reffitt, daughter, of Crystal Lakes, Missouri • Jerald Ray (Amanda) Long, son, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri • Bethany Long, granddaughter, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri • Timothy Kennedy, grandson, of Kansas City, Missouri • Sophia Kennedy, great-granddaughter, of Crystal Lakes, Missouri • Jayden Arthur Long, great-grandson, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri • Sandra McCubbin, sister, of Liberty, Missouri • Barbara Norris, sister, of Denver, Colorado • Audry Bellis, sister, of Greeley, Colorado • Bonnie Bellis, sister, of Lawson, Missouri • Chris Bellis, brother, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri • George Bellis, brother, of Lowrey City, Missouri In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by • Charlotte Bills, sister • Linda Holtzclaw, sister • Vaughn McCubbin, brother-in-law Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec 18, 2020, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Dec 18, 202 from 2:00 PM at Old Union Cemetery. Brenda's family says she was a great cook. She loved to garden, both flowers and vegetables. She loved her flowers. Brenda was a fan of old-school westerns. She was a fan of John Wayne, often repeating the movie line by line. She enjoyed and never met a stranger. She was a good sister. She loved her two dogs, often posting images of them on social media. She really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The best 21 years of Jesse's life were spent with Brenda. Memorial donations may be direct to Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
